Interview: A Permanent Shadow

A Permanent Shadow are a one man band with CP Fletcher as their only fixture. On his debut album ‘Songs Of Loss’ during the recording process he surrounded himself with a rotating cast of musicians and producers. His music combines both old and new, drawing from the likes of David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Scott Walker, Gary Numan and Nine Inch Nails as well as more recent bands like Editors and Franz Ferdinand among many others. The style is somewhat reminiscent of Post Punk mixed with Synth Pop.

Interview: Martin Bowes Founder Of Attrition

Attrition are an English Dark-Wave and Industrial, Electronic music band, formed in Coventry, England in 1980 by Martin Bowes and Julia Niblock. The band emanated from the experimental Post-Punk scene of the early 1980s and contributed considerably to the evolution of industrial music in the UK. They are still active 30 years later and have influenced many younger bands in the genre whilst also perpetually fine-tuning their particular sound. Martin Bowes one of the bands founding members answered some questions for us earlier and this is what he had to say.
